Saturday, August 29, 2009 from 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM (ET)
TechAdventure DC is loading up a charter bus Aug. 29 and taking the DC
Social Media/Tech community out of the bubble through the lush
Shenandoah Valley and into the Blue Ridge Mountains - home of
family-run Rappahannock Cellars.
Participants will enjoy an
afternoon of discussion and collaboration, tasting the 8 varieties of
red and white wine from the the winery, exploring the vineyard, the
cellars, the tasting rooms and the giant rustic barn that will serve as
our conference room.
Bring a picnic lunch for the rolling grass or plan a tech-conquest of the Capitol. Play lawn games including cornhole and bocce ball, or take a photo walk through the lush estate.
Live bluegrass and jazz music will be performed by acclaimed local artists, The Marie Miller Trio.
Best of all, you will be taking the best DC has to offer - which is you, your friends and colleagues - and leaving the Beltway for an adventure.
TechAdventure aims to take the DC Social Media and Technology community out of the bubble and on adventures that facilitate the strengthening of existing relationships and the forging of new ones, fostering an environment that encourages creative collaboration for all - all while enjoying a unique experience.
The TechAdventure Team for this expedition is Justin Herman, Jesse Thomas, Andrea Baker, Shireen Mitchell, Andrew Somyak, Catherine Ciskanik and Allan Delmare
